Saturday & Sunday schedule update
Due to the heavy rain forecast tomorrow we are having to make a few adjustments to the weekend schedule, as follows…
SATURDAY
The biathlon and triathlon will still go ahead tomorrow!
- Registration is 8.30-10.30am, by the roundhouse or in the nearby tunnel (weather dependant).
- Bikes to be set up in the marked transition area before the safety briefing.
- Junior biathlon pre race safety briefing at 10.40am in the tunnel, race start 11am.
- Triathlon pre race safety briefing at 11.40pm in the tunnel, race start at 12noon.
The raft race will be moved to Sunday.
Junior race (16 & under) at 2.15pm and the senior race 3.30pm.
The sailing races in the bay will still go ahead.
All other events around the harbour on Saturday will be cancelled. Unfortunately there will be no food or drink stalls.
SUNDAY (looking a lot drier)
Sizzling BBQ from 12noon
Live music from 12noon with a Jazz Affair, Stunsl’s and Jess Biggs
Water polo at 1pm
Pasty making workshop from 1pm
Pasty competition & judging from 3pm
Raft race registration from 1pm, at the slipway
Junior raft race (16 & under) at 2.15pm
Senior raft race at 3.30pm
Fowey Lifeboat (Shouts permitting)
Sailing racing in the bay through the afternoon.

Charlestown Regatta Week is back for 2024 from Saturday July 20th – Friday July 26th. The annual community fundraising event, hosted around the historic Georgian harbour village, offers a fun programme of live music and entertainment for all the family.
The week’s activities also crucially serve to fundraise for local charities and good causes and in the last year Charlestown Regatta has donated over £10,000.
A must-visit in the summer calendar, for residents and visitors alike, Charlestown Regatta Week is organised by a team of volunteers and the 2024 event is the 52nd Regatta Week hosted in the village.
The Week’s programme includes raft races, water sports, pasty demonstrations, a gig rowing challenge, and favourite events such as the fun triathlon, junior biathlon, children’s sports, an evening with Johnny Cowling, the grand carnival and flora dance procession followed by Proms in the Park with fireworks and of course the Week’s musical finale, Regatta Rocks.
In addition, the St Austell Society of Artists are running a free-to-attend art exhibition, every day throughout Regatta Week at the Pattern Hall in Charlestown from 10-5.30pm.
